Childe Harold opened its doors in the mid-1970s and is considered the flagship of Dupont Circle. Loyal patrons and tourists assemble into the exposed-brick, lower-level bar or onto the tiny front terrace where the people-watching is ideal. Burgers are wonderful here and served with a variety of toppings. The pub-style menu also includes hot and cold sandwiches, salads and a changing list of more elaborate specials.
